It was such a treat to head down to the beautiful town of San Luis Obispo for Lexi & Ruairi's big day. I arrived in town the night before, just in time to catch the sunset at Pismo Beach. The wedding day venue, La Cuesta Ranch, was even more beautiful. Tucked away in the hills not far from town, this charming rustic setting made the perfect backdrop for Lexi and Ruairi's ceremony and reception. One of the highlights was definitely the exciting ride to the top of the hills just before sunset in a high-powered AWD ATV... thank you for the ride Gabe! One of many memorable moments on an all-around beautiful and incredibly fun day with this awesome couple and their guests. Thank you L & R for the chance to be part of it all!

Michelle & Chad | Santorini, Greece - Elopement

Michelle and Chad's elopement in Santorini...

From chasing the sunset on our first night together, to adventuring around the island on scooters and ATV's on day two, to their magical wedding day in Fira Stefani with the softest and most beautiful light, and to all the moments (and gyros!) in between, it was an unforgettable experience with one of the nicest couples I have worked with in one of the most stunning locations I have seen. It was such a treat to have so much time to hang out with an awesome couple who were always down to get the shot. We joked that I was like their traveling selfie stick. Best job ever if you ask me. :)

Special thanks to my good friend Anjuli who originally referred me to Michelle and Chad, who I am now grateful to call good friends as well.

One of my favorite days! An early Sunday morning start in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The most fun-loving, laid back couple. A mariachi band. Homemade tortillas. A groom making his own desert for guests in the kitchen. A bride and nephew playing chase through the fields. Just so much to love about this couple and this day.

Kellie & John | Yosemite Wedding at Tenaya Lodge

Kellie and John's wedding at Tenaya Lodge near Yosemite, CA was one for the ages, filled with the kind of people and moments that make me so grateful and thrilled to be a wedding photographer. Tenaya Lodge, just outside the south gate of Yosemite National Park, made for a beautiful setting for the entire weekend. The day after the wedding, Kellie and John rallied into their wedding attire again for a run up to Yosemite's Sentinel Dome at sunset for some more photo fun. One thing I love about destination weddings is the opportunity to spend a couple more days with couples to capture those extra moments and awesome locations.

Kanoa & Sara | San Francisco Engagement Session - Shot on Film

Some of you might recognize Kanoa here. He has been my main second shooter at weddings for the past few years and a great friend for many more. And now...he's engaged! For their engagement shoot, Kanoa and his lovely fiancé, Sara, had the idea of spending a full day taking photos at some of San Francisco's iconic spots and asked me to take them. On top of that, wanting something a little different and special and knowing my passion for shooting analog cameras, they asked it all be shot on film, and so of course, I gleefully jumped at the chance. Almost as high as Kanoa jumps in one of these photos!

With a few location ideas they had in mind, mixed in with some go-to spots of my own, we hit the town. After starting along the windy shores of Treasure Island we walked the Embarcadero for a bit and paused at The Ferry Building for some delicious avocado toast (and one of my favorite photos of the day). We then cruised over to North Beach and Chinatown before a surprise stop Kanoa set up for Sara at Bob's Donuts, where a couple special order donuts and some ice cold milk were waiting for us.

We then carried on to the Palace of Fine Arts and Golden Gate Park where the late day light was really starting to shine before driving out to Sutro Baths to catch a beautiful golden hour and sunset. A bit exhausted at this point (those Sutro Bath stairs!) and having all worked up an appetite again, we put the cameras away and Kanoa and Sara took me to their favorite ramen restaurant for dinner to cap off a fun day exploring San Francisco.

Allie & Blake | Mexico Wedding at Hotel San Cristóbal, Todos Santos

I couldn't wait for Allie and Blake's wedding in Todos Santos, Mexico. This was my second wedding in this little town along the Baja California coast and so I knew what a beautiful and special place it is. Home to A & B's festivities was the newly opened Hotel San Cristobal, a spectacular beachfront hotel and restaurant that is quickly and deservedly gaining notoriety. A true couple's (and wedding photographer's) paradise. Add to that the fact that Allie and Blake, along with their entire group of friends and family, are some of the coolest, friendliest and most generous people I have met, it all made for an unforgettable few days that I am so thankful to have been a part of. Fun people make for a fun wedding, and a fun this one was! Congratulations Allie and Blake!

Lisa & Paul | Wedding in Chiang Mai, Thailand

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to head to Thailand for Lisa and Paul's wedding at the beautiful Sabai Sabai Retreat in Chiang Mai. I first met up with Lisa and Paul a couple days before the wedding for a few photos (and drinks!) in Chiang Mai's Old City with a small group of family and friends. The wedding day arrived and began with some traditional Thai ceremonies in the morning followed by a more traditional Western ceremony and reception later on. Simply beautiful on every level. The entire trip was an unforgettable experience from start to finish and I am so grateful to have been a part of such an amazing wedding with such an awesome couple!
